The best volleyball training exercises that you can incorporate into your beach volleyball training drills is kettlebell training! Thats right, I said kettlebell training. As you may know the kettlebell is an ancient strength and conditioning device that has molded some of the world’s greatest athletes and strongmen for over three centuries.
By including kettlebell exercises into your volleyball strength and conditioning program you will develop the most athletically fit and athletically explosive body you can possibly imagine! This style of training is so dynamic and movement based in nature it will allow you to move through the beach volleyball sand with ease and explode out of it to spike the ball at will.
This style of training should be at the top of the list of your beach volleyball drills. Kettlebell training allows you to incorporate hundreds of muscles at one time while drastically improving your athleticism and giving you cardiovascular conditioning that is unmatched. Kettlebell exercises involve a completely different style of working out than most people are accustomed to. You see kettlebell training is not “body part specific,” but rather “movement specific.” This is why it is so effective in improving athletic performance. Kettlebell workouts and lifts require both skill and strength just like the game of beach volleyball.
