The kettlebell’s historical origins are believed to be in Russia. The Russians have used the device to train many of their olympic athletes, law enforcement, and military personnel. As you know they have now infiltrated the states and are rapidly becoming more well known. As I have written in my movement about strength culture, the importance of physical, emotional, and spiritual betterment is a journey. The kettlebell is certainly a vehicle you can use to get you moving on that journey and moving fast! I have used the device for over a year and a half now and have retrieved and surpassed many areas of strength that I never would have thought I could achieve. The body is, after all, a kinetic chain and the kettlebell tensions that chain to make it strong throughout its entirety.
The benefits you acquire by training with this device are vast. Not only are they cosmetic and make you look great for the beach season coming up, but kettlebells improve your cardiovascular conditioning, help you to develop superior strength, resiliency, stamina, and even amazing joint integrity! Because these bells aren’t as prevalent as dumbells they are generally about a dollar or so more per pound in cost. This isn’t a problem though, because there is no warranty necessary for this product my friend. The gruesome bell would be the only thing left on the ground after a post apocalyptic nuclear attack! If you want to invest in an extremely versatile piece of equipment then overall I don’t believe anything can compete with the iron bell!
