The Samurai Workout honors the tremendous warriors throughout history who displayed skill and a deep knowledge of combat and weaponry. Additionally a samurai warrior was known to devote his life to learning a skill that made his very existence a possibility. His skill consisted of all the physical and mental skills of body control and today this is the goal of the samurai workout I’ve included here for you. Include this into your training regimen to start mastering your physical development.
The Samurai Workout For MMA Fitness
Rolling “V” Stretch: 5
A Skips: 15 R&L Legs
B Skips: 15 R&L Legs
Kettlebell Loaded Saddle Groin Stretch: 1 Minute
Shoulder Warm Up: Palms To Face; Palms To Head–15 R&L Arms

Leg Power, Agility, Footwork, And Conditioning:
Note: For greater intensity the following drills can be performed with a 20 lb. weighted vest.
Jump Rope Alternating Skips: 2×3 Minute Rounds
The Agility Ladder Note: A single repetition is counted once you perform a run from one end of the ladder and back.
Agility Ladder Linear High Knees: 5 Note: perform the high knees by making sure to generate proper elbow and knee drive to get your feet into every square of the agility ladder.
Agility Ladder Lateral High Knees: 5
The Samurai Workout For MMA Fitness Strength And Power Development:
Kettlebell Swings: 4×25
Superset Push Ups: 4×15
Kettlebell Snatch: 3×5 (Right & Left)
Superset Single Leg Deadlift/Toe Touch: 3×5 (Right & Left)
Rotational Medicine Ball Slams: 3×7 (Right & Left)
