Part 4 Of High Impact Strength Movements…The Front Squat

Part 4 Of High Impact Strength Movements…The Front Squat

So in closing out Part 4 Of High Impact Strength Movements today’s strength lift is one that I’ve more recently started to include back into my own program on a more regular basis. I’ve got to admit that even for me back squats and deadlifts have been at the center of the big strength lifts, but lately it’s been front squats and I now even prefer front squats to back squats when selecting a strong lift for both myself and my students. Why you ask? Well just keep on reading my young Jedi and I’ll be glad to clear all of this up.

Part 3 Of High Impact Strength Movements…Pull Ups

For Part 3 of High Impact Strength Movements we’re going to be talking about pull ups. Oh yes, if the almighty pull up wasn’t part of this series then I wouldn’t be doing my job my friend. You should constantly be including pull ups into your journey towards being able to beat up on your athletic competition while also acquiring the ability to lift a googol (not be confused with the big search engine called Google that’s also reading this article right now) of poundage. However, before you stand up under that bar take a minute to keep on reading to hopefully broaden your pull up horizons!

Over the years being able to compete in athletics, having to overcome two reconstructed knees, and taking up the art of Muay Thai I’ve come to realize that strength training is a discipline as well. You see to me strength and conditioning is a discipline in and of itself and it requires consistent practice to understand this. You must get in tune with your body.  The only way you can understand it is if you practice it with purpose and consistency. Suddenly you’ll realize you will learn more and more about yourself and your abilities.

The “Getting Ripped Without The Cardio” Myth…

JX0V9338

There have been many times when I have gone onto Facebook and posted up a comment referencing this myth full of BS that a great deal of these online and TV trainers like to pitch with their training programs regarding CARDIO. Usually the pitch goes something like this…Get A Ripped Body With My Program Without The Cardio or Never Worry About Doing Cardio Again And Still Get These Sick Results!

The word “sick” in that last sentence should be interpreted with a positive connotation in case you weren’t clear on that. Keep on reading to see where I go with this “cardio session.” 😉
