So I got a question from one of my readers the other day in my email inbox asking if heavy lifting is bad for one’s health? Well, believe it or not I did think about this one just a bit more than you may have guessed before just shooting back the quick and easy response.

Because my brain was stimulated into that next level of thinking prior to answering the question I figured that I would use that extra brain activity for the subject of this very post. So the other day I had a couple of newbies to come into one of my classes for the very first time and with me everyone gets evaluated on day 1. I brought them in and in the usual order of things immediately started working on walking them through my series of dynamic warm ups, the conditioning phase, and then ultimately I had a look at how well they could squat, deadlift, and just move in general. During this process I got some interesting looks from the trainees as I started them in on this approach. I could tell this was a completely new experience for them!
